For the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of conducting string ensembles and orchestras, guiding young musicians and adults from their very first notes through to Grade 8+ level and beyond.

My approach is centred on building confidence, strong ensemble skills, and a genuine love of music making. Whether working with complete beginners or advanced players tackling challenging repertoire, I aim to create an environment where every musician feels encouraged, inspired, and valued.

Watching players grow in both ability and self-belief, and seeing them develop into confident ensemble musicians, has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Through regular rehearsals and performances, musicians learn not only technical and musical skills but also teamwork, listening, discipline, and the joy of creating something together.

The performances featured here is a reflection of that journey, a celebration of dedication, collaboration, and the wonderful achievements that can be reached when young musicians are supported to realise their potential. January 2026 concert.
